Camilla Hitchcock - LRAD ARAD
Principal Camilla began her classical training with Letty Littlewood at Associated Arts Scool before moving on to Dame Merle Park and Shirley Grahame. She gained distiction in all her ballet, tap and modern examinations at the Arts Educational Schools, Barbican. She completed her teacher training on the 3 year diploma course at the Royal Academy of Dance, London where she gained her Advanced RAD ballet and became a Licentiate of the Academy in 1991. In 1993 she established First Steps Academy and since then has entered thousands of children of all age groups for RAD examinations with 100% success rate.

Kerry Whitfield - PDTD, RTS, ARAD
Ballet Teacher Kerry began her dance training at The Royal Ballet School working with acclaimed teachers including Shirley Grahame, Christine Beckley, Fiona Chadwick, Jackie Barrett and Matthew Hart. She gained a Diploma of Higher Education in Theatre Dance at London Studio Centre and went on to obtain her Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma with distinction from the Royal Academy of Dance. She has a wealth of performance and teaching experience.

Heather Holt - RAD RTS, BA(Hons), ISTD
Ballet TeacherHeather won a scholarship to Arts Educational School, Tring Park and gained her teaching qualifications at the Royal Academy of Dance, London as well as a First Class Honours degree in dance. She is an experienced ballet teacher and has also enjoyed a career as a professional dancer, performing in the West End in Crazy for You and Me and My Girl at the London Palladium.

Rebecca Crowther
Academy Secretary Rebecca trained at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and won a scholarship to The Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts graduating with distinction in ballet, tap and modern dance. Rebecca studied acting in Los Angeles after touring the UK in the musical Beauty and the Beast. She has appeared in number of films.

Alexandra Bootman - AISTD, RAD RTS, BA(Hons)
Ballet Teacher Alex trained at The Arts Educational School, Tring Park where she qualified in ISTD tap and modern as well as performing in the acclaimed Chamber Choir recording an album with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She graduated from London Studio Centre and later gained her BA (Hons) in Dance Education from The Royal Academy of Dance.

Anna King
Streetdance, Jazz and Tap TeacherAnna is an experienced professional dancer and dance teacher. She trained at Stella Mann College and after winning a scholarship she graduated with honours from Italia Conti Academy. Her career has taken her all over the world and highlights include performing for the Queen and Prince Philip. She was a member of the Nu Flow Crew using her skills in Locking, Popping, Tutting and Break Dancing to perform, choreograph and direct shows.

Nicola Leftwich
Ballet Teacher Nicola was a professional ballerina touring the world with classical companies including The European Dance Company, Vienna Festival Ballet and Wiener Ballet Theatre. Her solo roles include The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Les Sylphides and Giselle. She toured with Bolshoi Ballet star Stanislav Tschassov, partnering him in the White Swan and the pas de deux from The Nutcracker. She also appeared at the Edinburgh Film Festival with modern dance company Reanimators. Nicola has choreographed for various dance shows touring Australia.

Sabina Cameron
Piano TeacherSabina is a classically trained pianist and actress. She has been a piano tutor since 2005 after completing her professional training with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. After university Sabina studied acting at The Arts Educational Schools, Chiswick graduating with a BA (Hons) in Acting. She is currently working as an actress and musician.

Kirsty Pritchard - BA(Hons) LRAD ARAD RTS
Ballet TeacherKirsty trained in Yorkshire and was a junior and senior associate of The Royal Ballet School. She continued her training at White Lodge, Richmond Park. She gained a scholarship to the Northern Ballet School and graduated with a Diploma in Professional Dance. Kirsty graduated from the Royal Academy of Dance in 2011 with a First class BA (hons) degree. Kirtsy holds all RAD grades 1-8 and Intermediate and Advanced and is doing her Solo Seal Award. Her performance experience includes The Royal Ballet's The Nutcracker and a member of The Corps de Ballet and soloist with Manchester City Ballet.
